Two websites I’ve used a couple of times to send parts requests to motorcycle breakers:
Well worth a try if you need to find a certain part and want to see if any breakers have them available, saves ringing round all the breakers yourself.
If you know of any other good ones, feel free to post them in the comments!
(There are similar ones out there for cars, too).
If you liked that post, then try these...
Great scooter riding (from "Taxi")
Looking for a complete engine for a Honda VF500 F2E 1985
@David Hayne:
May I suggest that you submit a request via one or both of the part search websites I listed above? This isn’t a part search website, it’s my blog :)
Or you could have a look on eBay… if you’re quick, there’s one going for £30 (current bid) for spares/repair:

Hi im looking for a complete 4-1 exhaust for a 1991 GSX600F can you help.
@Alan:
If you want a standard exhaust system the breaker parts search sites linked in this post may be able to help. IIRC the GSX600F doesn’t have a 4-into-1 system as standard though, so I assume you’re looking for an aftermarket job – try http://www.mandp.co.uk or somewhere similar.
Hi thanks for reply yes looking for an after market one have spent weeks doing internet search’s contacted bike breakers and keeping an eye on eBay, i can get a new one at the best part of £400 but hoping to pick up something second hand.
Alan
@Alan:
Good luck with your search, hope you find something suitable.
Do you need a full system, or could you get away with just the cans? (I’m guessing from the age of the bike, there’s a good chance the downpipes have rotted through – I believe that’s quite common, especially on the areas out of sight behind the fairing).
You could try also searching for “Katana” as I believe that’s what the GSX600F was called in America?
@Alan:
also take a look at http://daves.gsx600f.site.mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/
He says:
“I found out that the 600 bandit “slip on” and “link pipe” would fit my bike”.
Hi
Thanks for the mention. I run the Gissit.com website and always appreciate someone that tells others what we are doing. I am going to expand the site very soon to allow you to find bikes, damaged repairables, accessories etc. Soome of this is already there but has just never been promoted.
Cheers
Brian
Does anyone know of a good and reliable breaker in the North West of England?
Try http://www.gissit.com/motorcycle-breakers-map.php It is a UK map showing and listing breakers, its not a complete list but might help you out
great stuff.. I guess you have researched out a lot before finding them. I will have good use for these sites..:)
Awesome stuff.. this will aid me quite a bit..!
There is also http://www.psycraft.co.uk/ who have quite a few Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha bike parts mainly for sports bikes.
I used to have nothing but trouble looking for parts when i was doing up bikes and cars a few years ago. Its great to see a few places embracing the net and making things easier for people – phoning round used to be a nightmare!
It was either really easy to find parts or really hard. When I had the yamaha virago, parts were pretty easy to find. I find that the older the bike, the harder to find parts. Always good to have a nice parts website handy. I’ll stay tuned
There are no good breakers in north west england
I have been a few years ago the Fazer 750 of the year 1990 I was delighted with this bike. medium
Part-Search website is pretty good – the form is a bit slow to submit, but its free and sends the request to over 100 breakers – ive used it a few times
